BURKEBLOG.COM Rules

This web log is intended for the free exchange of ideas. But even free exchanges need some regulation so that all the participants know what is expected of them. So, in no particular order, here are the rules:

1. No profanity. The publishers of BURKEBLOG.COM will decide what we feel is profane and will edit it out of any comments.
2. Be nice. Life is too short not to be respectful, even in disagreement. This means no name-calling or personal attacks. No threats. No sexist or racist remarks. No disclosure of inappropriate personal information about you or anyone else by name or reference.
3. Stay on topic. Don't waste other peoples' time with comments that have nothing to do with the subject matter.
4. Don't slander our customers. Negative comments are fair game, but first and foremost we are a business. That means we have customers whose interest we have to protect. And, yes, this means we don't harbor the notion of being 100% impartial. Sorry. We've got to eat, too.
5. Keep it short and sweet. We reserve the right to edit or omit comments that are just too darned long.

If these rules are ok with you, then we encourage your participation in the dialog. If not, we encourage you to seek another outlet. All comments are moderated, so there is no promise that anything you post will end up on the site. However, in return for you taking the time to reply to an entry we promise to give each post the thoughtful consideration it deserves.
